YOUR FIRST MASSAGE

It is appropriate to shower prior to your massage; it is also best not to eat or drink a great deal before this procedure. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to complete some paperwork. When you are introduced to the therapist who will work with you, the therapist will spend a few minutes speaking with you to determine precisely how you are doing, and what massage techniques to use for your health and wellness.

The therapist will then take you to your massage room, and leave you to disrobe and get on the massage table, under a sheet, while they wash their hands. You may choose to undress only to your level of comfort. In any case, you will remain draped under a sheet and blanket, and only one body region at a time will be uncovered. After your session, the therapist will leave while you get dressed.

Here are your three steps to a great spa experience:

1. MEET & GREET

It is helpful to arrive 10 minutes earlier. It gives you time to complete your paperwork and take a few minutes to relax and unwind.

2. COMMUNICATE

Talk to your therapist about your needs and wants. This is your customized massage – pressure, more attention to a certain area, room temperature, heated blankets, etc. are customized to your needs. If at any time something is uncomfortable, please alert your therapist.

3. SILENCE or CHAT

Some people like to talk during a session. Some prefer to relax without a conversation. Do what feels best. We will follow your lead.

LASTING WELLNESS

It is important to rehydrate after your massage. Once you re-dress, your therapist will provide you with a cup of water. Regular massage has cumulative benefits – so the more you go, the healthier you feel. For lasting wellness, schedule your next appointment before you leave.
